Port City Creates Custom Brew for Chef Geoff’s

Port City Brewing Co., Alexandria, Va., created a special custom beer. to be served on draft in all Chef Geoff’s Restaurants, including the original Chef Geoff’s, Chef Geoff’s Downtown, Chef Geoff’s Rockville, Chef Geoff’s Tysons and Lia’s in Chevy Chase, starting mid-April.

It’s the first custom brew that Port City has ever produced.  Chef Geoff Tracy and his team visited Port City to taste and discuss the style of the beer they wanted before crafting the unique new beer.  The hoppy and smooth American Pale Ale will be called Chef Geoff’s Northwest Ale.  It will have a bold amber color with a hoppy aroma, fruity malt and lively hop flavors that lead to a clean, refreshing finish.  The well-balanced ale is perfect for easy drinking, with alcohol content of just over 5%.

The brewing company will release the new beer in mid April with launch events both at Chef Geoff’s and at the Port City Brewing Company Tasting Room in Alexandria, VA.
